Stone Point Capital is divesting its stake in Cunningham Lindsey Group Ltd., a Tampa, Fla.-based insurance claims adjustment company with some 7,000 employees in more than 60 countries.
New York City-based CVC Capital Partners is leading the new investor group, which includes a subsidiary of Switzerland-based Allied World Assurance Company Holdings AG. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
In 2007 through affiliates, Greenwich-based Stone Point Capital took Cunningham Lindsey private, with Fairfax Financial Holdings retaining an ownership stake along with management. Toronto-based Fairfax controls Stamford-based OdysseyRe.
