Brian Cohn, the former president of SAC Capital Advisors L.L.C. who left the company in 2008 after his son drowned in a pool mishap, is planning to start his own hedge fund, according to a Bloomberg report that cited two people.
Cohn”™s Archeroak Capital Management L.P. will be based in Greenwich, according to the report, and the hedge fund”™s senior managers include Christina Kim, an alumna of Andor Capital Management that was based in Greenwich before closing in 2008.
SAC is among the largest corporate employers in Stamford with more than 800 employees there at last report. Separately, Bloomberg reported that SAC has launched a New York City-based affiliate called Paramater Capital Management that will trade securities in financial companies.
