Rhinebeck Savings Bank, which is celebrating 150 years in business, has opened a branch in LaGrange at Route 44/55.
“This branch marks the 10th location for the bank,” said Michael Quinn, president and CEO. “We are quite enthusiastic about this location and look forward to growing our relationships with the LaGrange community.”
In addition to celebrating a new branch, Rhinebeck Savings Bank has instituted “150 Random Acts of Kindness” to mark its milestone.
“Rather than throw ourselves a 150th birthday bash, we wanted to reach out to the communities we serve to offer help where it is needed most,” said Rosemary Bertelle, vice president of marketing.
To date, 150 bouquets of flowers were sent to three area nursing homes and during the Easter/Passover holidays 150 gift cards for Stop and Shop were distributed to local food pantries. “Some of these organizations have seen their numbers go from 50 to 250 in a year,” said Bertelle. “So many depend on contributions, and many have been particularly hard hit because of current economic conditions.”
Incorporated in 1860, Rhinebeck Savings Bank has offices in Dutchess and Ulster counties.
