Six RadioShack stores in Westchester County are set to close as part of the bankrupt electronics retailer”™s effort to restructure, court documents revealed. The stores would be closed under the chain”™s plan to shutter 1,784 locations across the country in three waves.
Under the plan, four RadioShack stores ”“ two in Yorktown Heights at the Jefferson Valley Mall and the Triangle Center, one at The Galleria at White Plains and one at Westchester Square in Hartsdale ”“ would shut down on Feb. 28 in the second wave of closings. RadioShack stores at Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers and Westchester Plaza in Mount Vernon would close on March 31.
Radio Shack filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware federal court on Feb. 5, listing $1.2 billion in assets against $1.4 billion in liabilities.
