New Canaan-based Bankwell, which operates 10 banking facilities regionally, has brought on Diane Matheus, a veteran of People’s United Bank”™s retail banking trade, as assistant manager of its New Canaan branch on Elm Street, one of its two branches in New Canaan.
Bankwell president Heidi DeWyngaert made the announcement recently.
Matheus, with eight years in financial services, previously worked in the retail banking division of Bridgeport-based People”™s United Bank.
DeWyngaert praised Matheus, saying, “Diane”™s extensive experience in customer service in the financial services industry and knowledge of the local community strongly support our underlying commitment to delivering the best personal service and providing added value to the community.”
Matheus was born and raised in Norwalk and serves as a volunteer for the Norwalk Mayor”™s Youth Program.
