Six Fairfield County wealth advisers made Forbes magazine’s list of the top 200 wealth managers in the country, headed by Greenwich’s Jeff Erdmann of Merrill Lynch, who landed the top spot.
Managing a 27-member team that handles $5.5 billion in client assets, Erdmann was also cited for arranging financial boot camps at the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA and the University of Chicago, “where a new generation of money is steeped in investments, philanthropy and career planning.”
Other wealth managers from Fairfield County landing on the list were Brian Hetherington of Merrill Lynch in New Canaan with $2.2 billion in assets at number 56; Ron Weiner of RDM Financial Group in Westport ($722 million, ranked 78th); Bryan Stepanian of Deutsche Bank Securities in Greenwich ($3.78 billion, 85th); Harold Trischman of Deutsche Bank Securities in Greenwich ($3.7 billion, 136th); and Tom Vacheron of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Fairfield ($1.2 billion, 150th).
Connecticut was also represented on the list by William Greco of Hartford’s USB Financial Services ($4.7 billion, 37th).
Rankings, developed by Shook Research, were based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data, rating wealth advisers with a minimum of seven years of experience and weighing factors such as revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience, and best practices that were gathered through telephone and in-person interviews.
