KenCast relocates
Digital content company KenCast is moving from Stamford to Norwalk, where it is taking 10,000 square feet of space at 535 Connecticut Ave.
KenCast provides streaming media for entertainment, media and government agencies.
KenCast is currently at 290 Harbor Drive in Stamford, the onetime home of Time Warner Cable.
It was the first lease at 575 Connecticut Ave. since KABR Real Investment Partners and Blackpoint Partners spent $11 million last month for the 175,000-square-foot building.
SHIP docks in Stamford
Colliers International steered Stamford Health Integrated Practices (SHIP) into a lease for 9,000 square feet of space at 1111 Summer St. in Stamford.
SHIP)is a partnership of local physicians, health care specialists and Stamford Hospital.
Maiden Lane Co. is the building landlord.
Center gets financing
ING Life Insurance and Annuity Co. extended $28 million in mortgage financing to Urstadt Biddle Properties Inc., secured by the Dock Shopping Center in Stratford where BJ”™s Wholesale Club recently built a store.
Other tenants in the 270,000-square-foot complex include Super Stop & Shop, Staples and West Marine.
Urstadt Biddle”™s total mortgage debt amounts to 17 percent of its enterprise value, among the lowest of any retail real estate investment trust according to Wing Biddle, president of the Greenwich-based company.
Chase to open Route 7 branch
J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is opening a branch on Route 7 in Redding, its second on the road with one in Wilton.
Chase is taking space previously occupied by Bank of America Corp., while expanding into an adjacent unit that housed a restaurant.
At the same plaza, Caraluzzi”™s Markets is expanding into space previously occupied by a hearth retailer.
Tod”™s Point signs renewal
Broker/dealer firm Tod”™s Point Capital L.L.C. renewed a lease at First Stamford Place a year in advance of its expiration.
Tod”™s Point has leased some 4,000 square feet at 100 First Stamford Place since 2009. The building is owned by New York City-based Malkin Properties.
Stratford building filled
Confirmed Freight (CF) and U.S. Mezzanines & Rack each took 4,500 square feet of space at 1895 Stratford Ave. in Stratford, bringing the 36,000-square-foot property to full occupancy.
CF provides freight logistics for high-tech, medical, entertainment and other industries. The company has been based at 25 Sherman St. in Stratford.
US Mezzanines & Rack supply modular office and warehouse structures.
