First Niagara Financial Group Inc. has added three commercial lenders to its middle market and business banking teams serving Westchester County and the Hudson Valley, southern Connecticut and metropolitan New York markets. The hirings were announced by Cathie A. Schaffer, tristate regional president at First Niagara Bank”™s Nyack office.
Michael M. Dwyer and Daniel J. Fosina have joined the bank as senior vice presidents for corporate banking. Schaffer said they will focus on generating middle market financing opportunities with area companies of $25 million or higher in gross annual revenues.
Matthew M. Farrell has joined First Niagara as vice president for business banking. Schaffer said he will be responsible for building banking relationships with customers and prospects in the $3 million to $25 million range in annual revenues.
Dwyer brings 28 years of middle market and mid-corporate commercial banking experience in the Westchester, Connecticut and New York City markets to his new position. He previously spent 10 years at JPMorgan Chase as senior vice president and senior banker and 18 years with Bank of America.
Fosina, with more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, formerly was senior vice president for corporate banking at KeyBank in New York City. He previously was vice president for leasing and financial services at LaSalle Bank and has also worked as a senior district manager for Mellon Bank in New York City and as an account executive for GE Capital.
Farrell, with more than 20 years of retail and commercial banking experience, joins First Niagara from Wells Fargo Bank in White Plains, where he most recently served as vice president and senior business relationship manager specializing in commercial and industrial and medical industry lending. He spent six years in a similar role at HSBC Bank in New York and has held retail banking positions in the region at Webster Bank, Wachovia Bank and The Bank of New York.
