Danbury bank to open Stamford office

Savings Bank of Danbury plans to open an office in Stamford, its first in coastal Fairfield County.

The office at 1200 Summer St. will be limited to issuing loans, rather than a traditional branch.

Savings Bank of Danbury currently has 13 locations in the Danbury and Waterbury areas. As of June 30, the company had $591 million in loans outstanding, including $83 million classified as small business loans by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
