Frank P. Longobardi, a long-time Hartford area accountant, took office this month as CEO of CohnReznick LLP, a national accounting, tax, and advisory firm with offices in White Plains and Stamford.
Partners at CohnReznick, headquartered in Manhattan, elected Longobardi, the firm”™s former regional managing partner for New England, to the top post in May. He succeeds former co-CEOs Ken Baggett and Tom Marino. Baggett became the firm”™s first board chairman Oct. 1 and Marino remains a member of its executive board through May 2016, when he will retire.
The new CEO”™s former firm, Haggett Longobardi LLC of Glastonbury, Connecticut, merged with J.H. Cohn LLP in 2007. J.H. Cohn and Reznick Group PC combined companies in 2012.
CohnReznick later this year will begin a two-year phased relocation of its midtown Manhattan headquarters to 1301 Avenue of the Americas, where 39 partners and more than 300 employees will work, according to the company.
The firm, which traces its origins to 1919, has more than 2,700 employees and 26 offices in the U.S.
