Commonfund, a Wilton-based investment manager for nonprofit investors, recently named J.P. Morgan executive Catherine M. Keating as CEO. She will assume her role in February.
Keating will replace Verne Sedlacek, Commonfund’s CEO since 2002. Sedlacek will stay with the company and serve in an advisory capacity through the leadership transition, Commonfund reported.
Keating has two decades of experience in senior investment management at J.P. Morgan. She was the head of Investment Management Americas for the company with a longtime commitment to nonprofits, according to a Commonfund press release. She also serves as chairwoman of the Villanova University board of trustees.
Before working for J.P. Morgan, Keating was a partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. She earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.
Her nonprofit experience includes working on the boards of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York and the Inner-City Scholarship Fund.
