Danbury-based Union Savings Bank has announced Chelen Reyes will become its next president beginning in February. Cynthia Merkle, who served as president and CEO since 2015, will retain her chief executive title until her retirement later this year.
Reyes comes to Union Savings Bank from Hudson Valley Credit Union, where he was most recently as senior vice president. Earlier in his career, he was chief marketing officer at Suffolk Federal Credit Union and marketing director at Nuvision Federal Credit Union.

Reyes graduated with a degree in Management from De La Salle University in Metro Manila, Philippines, and holds a Master”™s in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management in Makati, Philippines.
