Bolt Technology Corp. is selling its motors and clutch division in North Haven to a Wisconsin company for $5.3 million, with Bolt expecting to record a $500,000 gain on the deal.
Norwalk-based Bolt”™s primary business is selling seismic devices that are towed from vessels to help oil companies locate underground deposits. In its fiscal third quarter ending in March, Bolt had a $3.4 million profit on $16.7 million in revenue.
New Berlin, Wis.-based A&A Manufacturing Co. Inc. is buying Bolt”™s Custom Products Corp. division in North Haven, which makes small clutches, brakes and motors for use in pulleys, mechanized gates, machinery and appliances.
