BlockTower Capital, a Stamford cryptoasset and blockchain investment firm, has created a competition to identify potential analyst talent for its sector.
The new BlockTower Investment Analyst Competition will challenge applicants to conduct primary research, prepare models and analysis and submit an investment recommendation on specific cryptoasset products or projects.
The submission period is open through July 1 and the finalists will have the opportunity to present their investment theses to the BlockTower executive team and compete for a first place 2 Bitcoin prize, a second place 1 Bitcoin prize and a third place 0.5 Bitcoin prize or the equivalent cash value. BlockTower plans to make the competition an annual event.
“The competition will provide us with a powerful tool to continue to surface exceptional talent,” said Matthew Goetz, CEO and co-founder of BlockTower. “The skill sets and types of expertise that are important in cryptoasset investing differ in many ways from those of investment analysts in the world of traditional finance. Similarly, so too do the geographic locations and backgrounds of these outstanding potential candidates.”
