Brewster resident Michael Mahoney has been named president and CEO of UHY Advisors NY, a tax and business consulting firm with offices in Manhattan, Rye Brook, Albany and New Haven, Conn.
A managing director at UHY Advisors and the head of the company”™s New York City office for the last eight years, Mahoney succeeds Richard Kotlow, who will retire as of Dec. 31 after four decades of service in the accounting and professional services industries. Kotlow will remain with the firm as a senior consultant.
UHY Advisors NY is the Northeast operating division of UHY Advisors Inc., the nation”™s 20th largest professional services firm with approximately 1,200 employees and revenues of nearly $200 million.
“I am excited about the opportunities in front of us to grow not only our New York operations, but our operations as a whole across the Northeast,” Mahoney said in a press release. “While we intend to drive our growth organically, we also believe there are quality practices out there that could benefit by joining a firm such as ours.”
