“We are thrilled to resume our service between Boston Harbor and Manhattan and to announce the launch of our new route from Boston Harbor to Nantucket,” said Alan Ram, CEO of Tailwind Air. “Nantucket is a destination that has long been popular with our charter clients, and we are excited to be able to offer a scheduled service option for travelers. The service bypasses congested commercial airports, and eliminates traffic-choked drives to ferries and regional airports. Select seats are available starting at just $175 each way.”
With the launch of the new route, Tailwind Air is expanding its network of seaplane routes from Manhattan and Boston, which already includes destinations including Provincetown and the Hamptons; the company plans to resume flights to Washington, D.C., this fall.
In addition to its seaplanes, Tailwind Air operates, charters, and manages a fleet of over 15 additional jet and turboprop aircraft based out of Westchester County Airport and Sikorsky Memorial Airport.
