Stratford-based Sikorsky, since November a unit of Maryland-based Lockheed Martin Corp., has been awarded two contracts worth about $940 million to carry out maintenance, logistics and other work aimed at supporting U.S. Army weapons systems, the Pentagon said recently.
The first $833 million contract aims at sustaining a number of U.S. Army programs, including the likes of Army technical publications, logistics support, contractor manpower reporting, packaging handling storage and transportation and advance procurement funding. The contract runs through December 2016.
Sikorsky also won a contract of $106.5 million to provide support and services ”“ plus all parts support ”“ for the H-60 helicopter weapons system. That contract expires Nov. 30, 2016.
