The Bedford Playhouse has announced the appointment of Donald Greenwald as chairman of the board and Marie-Louise Scanlan as CEO.
Greenwald has served on the nonprofit”™s board since 2015 and will replace Sarah Long, whose term expired on March 31; Long will continue as an active member of the board”™s executive committee. Greenwald will serve a three-year term as chairman of the board.
Greenwald is the former president and CEO of Lansco Colors and now serves the managing partner of Insight Operations LLC. He has also served on the board of Marsh Sanctuary and was president of Mount Kisco Country Club as well as chairman of the Annual Fund at Rippowam Cisqua School.
Scalan was the Bedford Playhouse”™s senior director of finance since March, 2022. She is a former marketing and management executive with IBM and Pepsi-Cola. She replaces Michael Hoagland, who left at the end of 2022.
Scanlan has extensive nonprofit experience as founder and chairwoman of the Foundation for Bedford Central Schools, president of the Auxiliary Northern Westchester Hospital and board member of the New England Dance Theater. Her local volunteer leadership includes being former PTA president/Bedford Central School District, and membership in the Bedford Chowder & Marching Club and the Junior League of Northern Westchester.
