Westchester’s Ridge Hill shopping center in Yonkers filled 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space during the first half of 2015, officials said this week.
The center, featuring 975,000 square feet of retail space, also added 15,000 square feet of office space that was leased by Luxembourg-based office space provider Regus, according to officials.
Shopping center officials said, in the month before Oct. 26, nine new retailers and attractions opened their doors: LOFT, a women’s clothing store; Papyrus, a stationary store; Hand & Stone, a massage and facial spa; e.l.f. Studio, a cosmetics store; Corona Vision, an eyewear store; Muse Paintbar; Motherhood Maternity; 5 Napkin, a burger restaurant;Â and an expanded H&M.
Spirit Halloween also opened a temporary location for the coming holiday. The Container Store, Starbucks and Angelo’s Family Style Italian opened locations at Ridge Hill earlier this year.
Kathryn Welch, executive vice president of Forest City Ratner Companies, Ridge Hill’s developer, said the new additions make the Yonkers shopping center a one-stop destination. Welch said in July the center had reached 80 percent of its retail capacity.
“Ridge Hill is well-known for its lively downtown atmosphere, as a place where people come to shop dine and play,” Welch said. “We welcome these terrific new retailers to the Ridge Hill family.”
Brooklyn-based Forest City Ratner Companies, a subsidiary of Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises, Inc., operates 34 properties in the greater New York area. Ridge Hill, opened in 2011, has 1.3 million square feet of combined retail, restaurant, entertainment and residential space.
