Neil Young & Crazy Horse canceled their Sept. 2 concert at Port Chester”™s Capitol Theatre, one of four North American appearances scratched from the group”™s tour schedule.
The band announced in a written statement Monday that it was backing out of those concerts and canceling the remainder of its current European tour due to an injury to guitarist Frank “Poncho” Sampredo”™s hand.
“As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events,” the statement said.
The Capitol Theatre said refunds for tickets would be available at the point of purchase. The theatre, which reopened last year and has since welcomed marquee acts such as Bob Dylan and Courtney Love, had sold out the concert at ticket prices ranging from $153 to $225.
