Your Sept. 15 article on Playland and statement that SPI “withered under legislative scrutiny” failed to mention the two lawsuits filed by a member of the BOL and a threatened land use fight by the Rye City Council.  The larger issue however, is that the executive and legislative branches of county government have not agreed on the nature or size of the amusement park and pool complex, let alone a restoration plan for Playland Park.
