The New Deal Creative Arts Center of Hyde Park will host its first Hudson Valley Theatre Festival from May 3-5, 2024, at locations across Dutchess and Ulster counties.
According to a Broadway World report, the festival will work present a dozen new and unpublished plays at businesses, historic sites, restaurants and libraries across the two counties. Playwrights interested in being considered for the festival can submit their works through the New Deal’s website beginning April 2.
“It is nothing short of a thrill for New Deal to foster this tremendous theatrical event and host it right here in the Hudson Valley,” said Teresa Gasparini, executive director of The New Deal Creative Arts Center. “We look forward to working with a wide variety of venues to support theatre, tourism, and small businesses in our area. We have all the right people in the right place working diligently to bring this event to our area.”
