Prestige Yacht Charters of Scarsdale, a luxury-yacht charter company that serves the New York and Connecticut coastlines, has a new package for corporate meetings.
“We have started to have corporate events on our yachts and they really enjoy it,” said David Hackert, president of Prestige Yacht Charters. “You get the views and it”™s a changing experience throughout the whole event. Also the yachts make it so your guests can”™t come late and leave early; it allows you to capture your audience and that helps to set us apart from the appeal of a catering hall. We”™re offering something that companies search for months to find.”
According to Prestige the package includes a three-hour yacht cruise around Manhattan with an open bar and gourmet cuisine and offers executives the ability to host up to 1,000 individuals. Most of the Prestige fleet of 20 is equipped with audio and visual facilities.
Entertainment options are also offered to clients including live music, a professional casino and theme parties.
All ships are climate-controlled with both outdoor areas and enclosed decks in case of inclement weather.
In addition to the Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty and other sites in New York Harbor, the new package will offer trips this summer to temporary art projects, such as the New York City Waterfalls in the East River, designed by Copenhagen-born artist Olafur Eliasson and part of the city”™s arts campaign.
Another project this fall visible from the water will be the 100 glowing tents on the southern tip of Roosevelt Island to remember 100 patients confined to a smallpox hospital at that location during the 19th century. The array of illuminated tents will be visible at night from the water as well as from the East Side of Manhattan.
The yacht tours depart from several different locations throughout New York City and from the Delamar on Greenwich Harbor.
