“We are looking forward to working with the City of Stamford to create a vibrant sports and recreation center that serves people from all walks of life,” said David Tewksbury, co-founder of Chelsea Piers New York and president of Chelsea Piers Connecticut, in a prepared statement. “Fairfield County has one of the most active and vibrant youth and adult sports communities in the country.”
Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia pledged to working closely with the company to create a vibrant development.
“The buildings are best in class and have an I-95 presence,” says Clayton Fowler, CEO of Spinnaker. “It was our intention from the outset to reposition the property for varied and alternative uses, for which the buildings are well suited. Given its prime location in one of the Northeast”™s major corporate communities, our goal since acquiring this property has been to continue to raise the bar for Stamford by attracting trophy tenants and operators.”
