The Arts & Nature School of Ridgefield, a for-profit learning center offering classes in art and musical theater, will have its grand opening ceremony on Nov. 11.
The school at 280 Ethan Allen Highway will host classes for children, teens and families. The company will also offer birthday parties and other family activities.
The center is owned and operated by Wendy Mitchell, a singer, teacher and musical theater director who founded the Sandy Hook Arts Center for Kids (The SHACK) in the aftermath of the 2012 mass shooting as a venue for using the arts to provide healing to the community.
