The public is invited to a slide show regarding Save Our Boatyard”™s plan to restore a working boatyard on a 14-acre harbor site in Stamford.
The presentation will take place March 19, 7:30 p.m. at the  Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd., fourth floor.
The group Save Our Boatyard will make the presentation.
In a prepared statement, Save Our Boatyard said, “We provide a comprehensive site plan for a boatyard that provides for several hundred new jobs, new businesses, will be an economical viable source of revenue for the city, a site that provides large public access, many amenities and we show what a true working boatyard/marina should be for all citizens.”
Mayor David Martin and the city”™s economic development director, Robin Stein, “have already seen the plan and like it very much,” the group reported.
Absent a pro-boatyard stance by the city, the group said other commercial business development could squeeze out commercial fishermen.
“Please make every effort to attend this important presentation and let”™s hope this city”™s administration will get to restore a boatyard on the site in the very near future.”
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
These fools, a tiny fraction of Stamford’s population, cost us massive economic opportunity with Bridgewater Capital. They acted like spoiled children at public hearings and meeting, damaging the reputation of our city.
I couldn’t care less what their plans are as I plan to be very vocal in opposing ANYTHING they plan. Count on consistent, sustained opposition!
