Slow Food Westchester, Westchester Land Trust and Mypersonalfarmers.com are teaming up for a county local farm and chef “speed meeting.”
On April 19 at Muscoot Farm in Somers, representatives from all organizations will be given the opportunity to bridge the gap between the supply and demand of locally grown food.
Citing an unfamiliarity with the needs of restaurants, event organizers laud the sit-down networking event as a way for farmers to “overcome those obstacles and help create a regular, predictable market for produce grown locally and raised locally.”
The following farms and farmers will be participating: Hermosa Farm, 5 Spoke Creamery, Ryder Farm Cottage Industries, The Meadows Farm, Doug DeCandia, Amba Organic Farm, Farming 101, Deb Traft, Hemlock Hill Farm, Louis Delessandro, LizTangart.
