The Connecticut Port Authority (CPA), the quasi-public entity responsible for the state’s deep water ports in Bridgeport, New Haven, and New London is looking for a communications and marketing firm to provide public communications services, creative services, website and social media services, and provide representatives for public meetings.
The CPA may ask the selected firm to develop new branding or even a logo for the organization, alongside developing communications plans and materials for policymakers and the general public.
“In order to assist the Authority in developing and implementing new strategies for economic development and supply chain solutions for Connecticut’s ports and waterfront facilities, the selected vendor will be expected to (a) provide Communications and Marketing support, and advisory services to better competitively position Connecticut in the maritime industry and (b) identify and engage the appropriate target market/s of the Connecticut maritime industry,” reads the request for proposal.
The fixed one year contract would begin in roughly November 2024, with the option to extend it an additional two years at the CPA’s discretion.
Firms are expected to have experience working with governmental agencies. Proposals must be submitted by 4 pm on September 27.
