Stamford-based vineyard vines has signed a five-year contract extension with Churchill Downs Racetrack as the “Official Style of the Kentucky Derby” through 2021. Details of the contract were not disclosed.
An official partner since 2011, vineyard vines produces a variety of clothing and accessories for men, women and children. Products are sold in over 600 specialty and department stores worldwide, through a seasonal catalog, online and at some 90 freestanding stores.
“It has been an honor to work with vineyard vines for the past seven years, and we are thrilled to continue our partnership with the brand through 2021,” said Kevin Flanery, president of Churchill Downs Racetrack. “Year after year, vineyard vines has delivered fresh, stylish and fun looks through their officially licensed collection of fashion apparel and accessories for the Kentucky Derby. Classic yet exciting, the brand embodies the lifestyle of the Kentucky Derby.”
The brand, known for its smiling pink whale logo, will continue to be active at The Derby with its “Whalestock” concert, retail pop-up shops at the track and a collection of Derby-inspired apparel.
