A state Thruway Authority employee was arrested last month after being accused of stealing nearly $2,000 from a toll booth.
Morris Fraser, 53, was a part-time toll collector assigned to the Interstate 87 barrier in Tarrytown. Fraser, who lives in the Bronx, altered toll tickets on two days in a two-month period and forged a paper ledger report, according to allegations made by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The criminal investigation bureau was contacted by the Thruway Authority Toll Audit Department in May after finding that $1,783 was stolen.
Fraser was charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records. His first court appearance is set for June 10.
