Ardsley-based biotechnology company Acorda Therapeutics Inc. has been named one of the best companies to work for in New York, based on an independent survey by Best Companies Group. Acorda was ranked in the top 10 for the fifth consecutive year.
The company was ranked third among this year”™s list of large employers, defined as employing more than 250 people. The rankings are determined by feedback from employees about company culture, benefits and overall job satisfaction.

Acorda, founded in 1995, develops therapies for people with neurological disorders such as Parkinson”™s disease, stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and heart failure. One of its drugs on the market is Ampyra, a treatment to improve walking in patients with multiple sclerosis.
