Westchester Community College will host its fourth annual Financial Education Day on Saturday. The free conference takes place in the Gateway Center on the college”™s main campus at 75 Grasslands Road in Valhalla.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast, followed by the keynote address by Joseph Sassano of Macro Wealth Management at 9 a.m. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hudson Valley financial professionals will lead 13 workshops about planning for retirement, estate planning, investing basics, elder care, social security, insurance, managing credit and debt, paying for college and starting a business. There also will be sessions on women”™s financial planning.
Private consultations will also be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Credit counselors and professionals from the Financial Planning Association will be on hand to discuss specific questions during those individual sessions.
The Westchester Community College Alumni Association organized the event and partnered with the college”™s Center for Financial and Economic Education (funded by the JPMorgan Chase Foundation), the United Way of Westchester and Putnam, the Financial Planning Association of the Greater Hudson Valley, GreenPath Debt Solutions and the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services.
