The owner of Nyack restaurant 8 North Broadway will open two Mediterranean-inspired locations in Westchester in the next few months.
Constantine Kalandranis, the chef and owner of 8 North Broadway, a 65-seat seasonal Mediterranean restaurant, will open 273 Kitchen in Harrison. The restaurant, on 273 Halstead Ave., will be a 30-seat Mediterranean wine bistro offering a raw bar and small plates. The soft opening is slated for early April.
“We want our patrons to feel like they are walking into the dining room of someone”™s home, an unpretentious, comfortable place to enjoy great wine and high-quality, fresh seafood and seasonal preparations,” Kalandranis said in a press release. “The open kitchen element will create a sense of intimacy and play and heightens the excitement patrons feel about the entire dining experience.”
Kalandranis also plans to open 251 Lex, on Lexington Avenue in Mount Kisco, in June. The 100-plus seat restaurant will have outdoor seating, a patio with a spit roast, a full bar and a menu that features the same locally focused Mediterranean cuisine as 8 North Broadway. Last year, 8 North Broadway was named one of Hudson Valley magazine”™s top five new restaurants, the press release said.
