There are so many red stars on the grounds of the U.S. Open this year, tennis fans may think they landed in 1980s Moscow.
The source of the red stars, however, is Heineken ”“ the Dutch beer company, which maintains its U.S. headquarters in White Plains, has expanded the popular Heineken House on the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.
“This year, we’ve expanded the Heineken House to make it an even more memorable, legendary experience for fans at the U.S. Open,” said Pattie Falch, Heineken USA’s brand director of sponsorships and events. “Between a menu created by some of New York City’s best chefs, a chance for fans to write their name in the record books, and of course the best spot on-site to put your feet up and enjoy an ice cold Heineken, the Heineken House is truly an enhanced experience for tennis fans.”
Heineken House also has several contests, including the “Heineken Perfect Pour” competition, which will be judged by New York City bartenders and hosted daily for the first 10 days of the tournament. Fans can also play the lawn game cornhole, snap a photo in a photo booth or visit the Heineken Pro Shop for merchandise.
Also on the grounds of the U.S. Open is the Heineken Red Star Café.
The tournament began Monday and will conclude Sept. 8.
