The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors recently installed new officers to lead its 9,000-member industry group and its eight-county multiple listing service in 2014.
Diane Cummins, branch manager of Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Katonah, was sworn in as president of HGAR and J. Philip Faranda, owner and principal broker of J. Philip Real Estate L.L.C. in Briarcliff Manor, stepped in as president of the association”™s subsidiary, the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service.
A broker in Westchester and Putnam counties for nearly 30 years, Cummins spent 15 years as a theatrical agent in New York City. She is a three-time winner of the Putnam County Realtor of the Year award and a past president of the former Putnam Association of Realtors.
Cummins succeeds Katheryn DeClerck, of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty in Warwick, as HGAR president.
A real estate broker since 1996, Faranda founded his own independent firm in 2005. He has been one of the top broker agents for transaction totals in Westchester since 2007.
A frequent media commentator on the region”™s real”™s estate market, Faranda also serves as a director of the New York State Association of Realtors and 2014 chairman of the NYSAR Technology Forum. He writes the Westchester Real Estate Blog and the New York Short Sale Blog.
Faranda succeeds Russ Woolley, of Wright Bros. Real Estate Inc. in Nyack, as president of the Hudson Gateway listing service, among the 50 largest multiple listing services in the U.S.
Also installed as executive officers of Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors were: Drew Kessler, Country Sun Realty Ltd. in Garnerville, president-elect for 2015; John Lease III, John Lease Realtors in Newburgh, Orange County regional vice president; Jerry Lott, Century 21 Full Service Realty in New City, Rockland County regional vice president; Barry Kramer, Westchester Choice Realty in Scarsdale, Westchester and Putnam regional vice president; Jennifer Maher, J. Philip Real Estate in Briarcliff Manor, Westchester and Putnam regional vice president, and Pamela Jones, Coldwell Banker Real Estate in White Plains, secretary-treasurer.
Realtors also installed these Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service officers: Leah Caro, Bronxville-Ley Real Estate in Bronxville, vice president; Renee Zurlo, Better Homes and Gardens Rand Real Estate in Central Valley, treasurer; and Eileen Barrett, Houlihan Lawrence in Brewster, secretary.
