THE CHAZEN COMPANIES, a provider of engineering, land surveying, environmental, planning and landscape architecture services, recently announced that it has added five new principals and two associates. The new principals to the company are:
SEAN DOTY joined the company in 2005 and is senior project engineer.
LAUREN GILLETT joined Chazen in 2006 and is vice president of human resources.
ERIC JOHNSON has been with Chazen since 2005 and is director of municipal service in the company”™s Troy office.
CHRIS ROUND joined the company in 2004 and is vice president of planning services.
RUSSELL URBAN-MEAD joined the firm in 1994 and is currently vice president of environmental services.

HUDSON VALLEY PATTERN FOR PROGRESS recently announced two new appointments to its board of directors.
DONALD CHRISTIAN was appointed president at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Prior to that, he served as interim president and as provost and vice president for academic affairs at the college. Christian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife biology and a Master of Science degree in zoology from Michigan State University.
GRAHAM TRELSTAD is director of planning for the Hudson Valley office of the New York City-based firm. Trelstad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in urban studies from Colombia University and received a Master of Environmental Studies degree from Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
MICHAEL J. SULLIVAN has recently been named director of business attraction for Orange County Partnership. Sullivan served as executive director of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and also headed the Sullivan County Office of Economic Development.
