Jerry Albertie has been named the new Commissioner of Information Technology for Orange County, announced County Executive Edward A. Diana.
Albertie was serving as the county IT department”™s director of client services prior to this appointment. He has been a key member of the county”™s IT team for more than 25 years.
“Jerry has truly worked his way up the ladder in the county”™s IT Department,” Diana said in the announcement. “He has seen many changes and advancements in technology over the years and has never shied away from a challenge. He”™s worked hard to develop himself as a leader and earn this important position as IT Commissioner.”
Albertie, a graduate of SUNY Orange where he earned a degree in business data processing, lives in Goshen with his wife and family.
The appointment is subject to approval by the Orange County Legislature.
