Aetna Inc. has joined the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) Health Connections insurance exchange as a participating carrier, CBIA announced Nov. 5.
Aetna, based in Hartford, joins ConnectiCare and UnitedHealthcare/Oxford as participating carriers in CBIA Health Connections, a private health insurance exchange managed by CBIA for Connecticut small businesses.
“We”™re thrilled to add Aetna as a new carrier in the CBIA Health Connections program,” said Philip J. Vogel, senior vice president of the CBIA Service Corp., in a prepared statement. “Our members now have even more choices and flexibility in choosing and administering their health plan.”
CBIA also announced the launch of HC3, a new suite of health care products that become available through the Health Connections program Jan. 1, 2013, to current and new CBIA Health Connections members.
