Over 11 years, the Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation has donated more than $1.1 billion in medicines to some 500,000 people.
Boehringer Ingelheim has its U.S. headquarters in Ridgefield and is among Fairfield County’s largest employers with more than 2,500 employees at last report. Last year, Boehringer Ingelheim’s global sales totaled $17.1 billion.
In addition to direct donations of medicine, Boehringer Ingelheim’s foundation also distributes them through Stamford-based AmeriCares and two other nonprofits.
