Talent Partners, a New York City-based talent and production support services company, has appointed industry veteran and Wilton resident Paul Mavis as managing director.
Linda Tinoly, Talent Partners’ chief client officer, touted Mavis in a press release as “a true maverick in the production world,” adding that “his reputation and across the board experience in business affairs, marketing management, talent and, of course, production, provides another invaluable resource for our growing, and increasingly global client base.”
Mavis, who has more that 25 years’ experience in the industry, is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. He began his career in the production business when he was accepted into Proctor & Gamble’s production training program, where he coordinated budgets, talent, locations, cast, crew and day-to-day logistics for the long-running daytime soap opera, “Guiding Light.”
Mavis has also worked in leadership positions at New York shops Geer, Dubois, and Campbell-Mithun-Esty, and in 2004 founded Mavis & Co., working with 200 agencies and advertisers on commercials for 40 brands globally, for advertisers such as Unilever, L’Oreal and Pfizer.
