Ridgefield Glass has opened a new warehouse in Danbury, called Elegance in Glass.
“We”™ve been fortunate in that we”™ve been able to diversify our product mix with both traditional replacement glass and custom designs,” said John Petchonka, co-owner of Ridgefield Glass. “As a result, we needed more warehouse space to keep up with the demand on both fronts.”
After 25 years in business, the Ridgefield-based custom glass retailer recently opened its 3,500-square-foot shop and warehouse, Elegance in Glass, on Backus Avenue behind the Danbury Fair Mall.
Elegance in Glass is immediate neighbors with DDD Heating & Air Conditioning?.
Petchonka said he looks forward to what the new location will do to allow the company to grow its customer base north into Danbury. He said the draw of the mall will also help to attract customers from Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
“With the Ridgefield showroom and Danbury shop and warehouse, we hope to become more visible to builders, contractors, designers and home enthusiasts throughout all of Fairfield County,” said Rob Sassone, co-owner of Ridgefield Glass.
Sassone said the business”™ success is rooted to the new uses for glass and its adaptability.
“For a cost-effective investment, glass can reinvent a mundane interior into an elegant space,” said Sassone. “Glass has been used to upgrade some of the area”™s most contemporary and historic homes.”
Sassone said some of the newer glass applications include colored glass countertops, painted glass, privacy glass, curved glass, mirrors and insulated glass for residential and commercial markets.
