Besides being extremely busy with interactive workplace training programs for young adults and staff, Harrison-based Katen Consulting is launching a clothing line.
The EYC: Professional line includes workplace-appropriate clothing for young women ages 13 to 24. The line will initially feature dress pants, blouses and suits. A pair of dress pants will cost around $30; a blouse around $25; and suits from $80 to $120.
“This way every time they see the EYC label, young adults know they can choose any piece from the line and be appropriate,” Katen said. “We”™ll unveil the clothing line in December at some of our Dress to Impress workshops.”
Katen Consulting has also expanded its workshops on professional etiquette for young women into Rockland County, but its reach is national: last month, Katen Consulting was contacted by a senior producer at the “Dr. Phil” TV show and used as a behind-the-scenes resource.
In addition, the company”™s “Enhance Your Chance” workbooks – seven different workbooks each highlighting an essential skill (dressing, speaking, etiquette etc.) are full of tips, activities and valuable information. Each workbook is $20. They are available at katenconsulting.com.
“Our company was built on the passion to equip individuals, but especially young adults, with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workplace and make a positive impression in life,” Katen said. “Our commitment to this cause has gotten us long-term and diverse clients, as well as recognition and praise. I feel very fortunate that Katen Consulting and Enhance Your Chance programs have become synonymous with success for young adults and employees alike. We are very appreciative that individuals like the producers at ”˜Dr. Phil”™ are recognizing us as a teen resource.”
