With $50,000 in federal grant money, local officials formally activated a free wireless Internet system covering small sections of Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport.
The WiFi system allows members of the cities”™ libraries to access the Web, with hotspots covering rail stations and other public areas.
The project was backed by One Coast One Future, a collaboration between the Bridgeport Regional Business Council and the Business Council of Fairfield County.
Log-on instructions can be accessed at www.coastalfairfieldcounty.org/wifi.php by clicking on each city”™s tabs.
