Aptuit buys across the pond

Aptuit is spending $64 million to acquire a pharmaceutical development lab in Great Britain.

Evotec AG is selling Aptuit an active-drug-ingredient facility in Oxford, England, and a vial-filling plant in Glasgow, Scotland. Evotec is based in Germany.

The deal adds 210 employees and more than $40 million in annual revenue to Aptuit”™s business.

Greenwich-based Aptuit is in the process of a $15 million upgrade of two Missouri plants.
