Presstek Inc., which sells commercial digital printers, is shifting its corporate headquarters from Hudson, N.H., to Fairfield County.
In May, the company appointed Jeff Jacobsen as CEO. Jacobsen previously led Eastman Kodak Co.”™s graphic communications group, whose prepress division is run out of Norwalk. Jeff Cook, the company”™s CFO, also lives in Fairfield County having formerly worked for Kodak and General Electric Co.
The company plans to maintain its Hudson offices, where it employs some 200 people according to New Hampshire Business Review. The company last reported having 900 employees total, but in October said it would cut its work force by 9 percent through a mix of layoffs and attrition.
In the second quarter, Presstek lost $5 million on revenue of $69 million, with product sales dropping slightly from a year ago.
The Presstek change came days after postal-systems maker Hasler Inc. opted to move its U.S. headquarters from Shelton to nearby Milford in New Haven County.
