In support of the Scouts
Boy Scouts of America kicked off its 100th anniversary by recognizing a local business owner who has been contributing to the community in his own, low-key way. The Hudson Valley Boy Scouts chose Ray Hafenecker, owner of the popular family restaurant, The Captain”™s Table, as its first “Monroe Good Scout.” Hafenecker”™s donations throughout the years to many events have helped keep things going, from little league teams to events to raise money for cancer, even in a down economy.
