Andrus President and CEO Corine E. Lurry-Mabin was recognized by the Business Council of Westchester as a Hall of Fame honoree at its annual awards ceremony held last month.
The Hall of Fame Awards, which were held April 28 at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, recognizes distinguished leaders across Westchester County who have made lasting contributions to their industries and communities. Lurry-Mabin was recognized in the “Minority Business Success” category for her leadership in advancing trauma-responsive care and strengthening the systems that support children, families, and communities.
Under Lurry-Mabin’s leadership, Andrus – a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to children, families and communities – continues to expand its impact across a full continuum of care. Those include school-based mental health services, residential and special education programs, community-based clinics, and family support initiatives. Grounded in the Sanctuary Model, Andrus’ work focuses on building environments rooted in safety, emotional well-being, and resilience.

The recognition comes at a time of growing awareness around youth mental health and the importance of integrated, community-based approaches to care. Through its programs and the work of the Andrus Sanctuary Institute, the organization continues to play a leading role in advancing trauma-responsive practices locally and beyond.
