FAIRFIELD — The Charles F. Dolan School of Business has expanded its MS in Business Analytics program into a new MS in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics.
Building on its strong foundation in business analytics, the new program introduces AI-focused coursework that reflects the latest developments in the field.
The original program is ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 12 globally by Quacquarelli Symonds’ 2026 Specialized Master’s Rankings for Best Value for Money. AI course enhancements will strengthen the curriculum and equip students with a comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
“Our new MS in AI and Business Analytics will position graduates at the forefront of the most in-demand career field today, where AI literacy is no longer optional — it’s essential,” said Fairfield Dolan Dean Zhan Li, DBA. “This program bridges the gap between technical expertise and business strategy, ensuring our students are not just ready for the jobs of tomorrow, but prepared to create them.”
Graduate students in the expanded program will take courses such as AI Ethics and Governance, Generative AI Applications and Business, Leading with Analytics, and Data Engineering for Business Analytics. A defining feature of the program is its STEM designation, reflecting a stronger emphasis on technical training.
Students will also gain hands-on experience with advanced tools and methodologies that meet the demands of today’s global marketplace, culminating in capstone courses such as Autonomous and Agentic AI for Business.
Like its predecessor, the new MS in AI and Business Analytics program is being offered in both on-campus and online formats, providing flexibility for students in the U.S. and those pursuing their studies in Shanghai, China.
