NEW YORK – Darien, Connecticut, resident R. Stokes Moore has added chief investment officer to his other C-suite title at New York City-based real estate developer Rockefeller Group.
Moore was promoted to CIO after having served as CFO since 2018 and executive vice president since 2021. He now serves as chair of the company’s Investment Committee and oversees all aspects of the accounting, tax, finance, treasury and business analysis and planning functions. With his new position, Moore oversees the company’s IT and Corporate Facilities departments, which manage the company’s technology infrastructure and investment, as well as office services.
“Stokes has been integral to Rockefeller Group’s growth over the last decade, helping us expand the depth and breadth of our business,” said Daniel Moore, Rockefeller Group’s president and CEO. “His skills in capital allocation, risk analysis and prudent investing will continue to be instrumental in the years to come.”
Throughout his tenure, his responsibilities have increased in tandem with the company’s growth in development nationally. Over the past five years, the company has more than doubled its development portfolio to 23.1 million square feet from 9.7 million square feet and increased total project value to more than $6 billion.
In addition to its core portfolio, which totals approximately 6 million square feet of class-A office space in Midtown Manhattan, the company operates from 12 offices nationally, with a development pipeline spanning 16 states and Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Rockefeller Group, Moore worked 14 years at Unilever – one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies – in a variety of finance roles with increasing responsibility. Also, he has worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
