The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter’s 12th annual Celebrating Hope benefit will be held on May 2nd, 2025 at the Delamar Hotel, Greenwich Harbor. The theme is “Join the Momentum”.
The event is chaired by four female powerhouses from Greenwich, each with a unique reason for being involved.
Ginger Stickel is the Executive Director of Greenwich International Film Festival and hopes to be part of the generation to end Alzheimer’s in honor of the Stickel family.
Jane Sprung became an advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association after her mom, Carolyn, lost her 10-year battle with the disease. Jane is dedicated to fundraising to advance the prevention of Alzheimer’s and to find cures for our generation.
Viosa Lukaj is a dedicated philanthropist committed to improving communities and empowering individuals in need. She is passionate about eradicating Alzheimer’s after losing her father to this disease.
Robyn Carpenter became a supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter after her mom, Carolyn, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2021. Robyn is determined to find a cure for this horrific disease that takes away one’s life.
“We are so excited this year to celebrate hope and the great strides we have made in research, treatments and ways to manage Alzheimer’s disease. We are in a powerful time of momentum, of moving forward, and we need your help to continue to keep this issue front and center and spare families the pain of losing their loved ones to this memory-robbing disease,” says Carpenter.
Together, let’s join the momentum toward a brighter future!
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Auctioneer Pat Tully will emcee a brief and inspirational program, which will feature Generation of Hope honoree Jenna Leach, a student at Sacred Heart University who lost her father to Alzheimer’s disease when she was 15. The evening will also include exciting live auction items and a special appeal to raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
More than 80,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s in Connecticut, and there are twice as many caregivers. Money raised at this annual gala helps the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter educate and empower those living with dementia and their caregivers while continuing to support critical research to find new treatments and ways to manage Alzheimer’s disease and all dementia.
Since its inception, Celebrating Hope has raised more than $4 million for Alzheimer’s and dementia care and research. Visit celebratinghope.givesmart.com to purchase tickets, donate or bid on the virtual silent auction. Dress is cocktail attire—this is a perfect time to wear your purple! The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter is grateful to the 2025 Celebrating Hope sponsors for their support, including Dinner Sponsor – Bank Street Group, Mission Sponsor – The Lukaj Family Foundation, Visionary of Hope Sponsor – Lugano Diamonds, Purple Carpet Sponsor – Atria Senior Living and Greenwich Magazine, the exclusive media sponsor of Celebrating Hope.
